By contrast to the other approach I take in preparing for a finish drawing I'll post this graphite sketch I'm using for another current work in progress. This bald eagle sketch is a very comprehensive graphite study (9"x3.25") that is the basis for a piece that is part of a continuing series of avian portraits I'm working on. Several years ago I established this narrow vertical format (24"x9") that I've held onto for this ongoing project. I'll post the work in progress in the near future.
