I make black and white drawings using charcoal, graphite and carbon. Burnt wood & natural elements... an utterly simple yet vastly complex medium that is perhaps one of the oldest we know.
My finish work is done on a heavily gessoed board. The random brush texture creates an exciting and unexpected spontaneity which provides me a way to incorporate an aspect of painting into my work.
